As the world awaits another season of celebrity couple weddings, here’s taking a flashback to the most talked about and hyped celebrity nuptials that Bollywood saw in this millennium.

Ajay Devgn And Kajol Mukherjee: ‘Pyaar to Hona hi Tha’ lived up to its name and made the protagonists Ajay Devgn and Kajol fall in love. It was an intimate affair and was held in Ajay’s place in Juhu. Though their wedding was held at a small scale, their honeymoon was very extensive, covering Egypt, Europe and Australia!

Shah Rukh Khan And Gauri: SRK’s marriage with Gauri was a consequence of their dramatic love story. Gauri’s parents did not agree for the marriage at first and her mother even threatened to commit suicide! But a persistent Shahrukh convinced Gauri’s relatives one-by-one and this led to their ever-lasting, loyal marriage.

Hrithik Roshan And Suzanne Khan: Hrithik married childhood sweetheart in the year 2000. The wedding was a beautiful affair with the bride and the groom looking radiant in their wedding ensemble. The wedding took place at a heavily guarded Golden Palms Resort and Spa and was a very private affair.

Abhishek Bachchan And Aishwarya Rai: Who would forget the Abhi-Ash wedding held in 2007. As the two exchanged vows the entire nation sat glued to their TV sets to catch a glimpse of the wedding. The wedding was kept under wraps and the media was avoided at every cost. The guest list was filled with Bollywood stars like Karan Johar, Preity Zinta, Sanjay Dutt and Kajol among many others.

Shilpa Shetty And Raj Kundra: Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra had quite a big fat Indian wedding recently. There was a lot of grandeur as every aspect of the wedding was extremely lavish. It is often dubbed as one of the best Bollywood wedding of all time.

Vidya Balan And Siddharth Roy Kapur: The most recent wedding in BTown took place on 14th December. The wedding was that of Vidya Balan and UTV head Siddharth Roy Kapur. The two kept their ceremonies as private as they could and posed for the desperate lenses only for few clicks. Eventhough, the wedding was very simple with no fuss, Vidya Balan was voted by our readers as the most beautiful bride of 2012. The sole person from tinsel town spotted at Vidya’s Mehendi was Rekha.

Saif Ali Khan And Kareena Kapoor: After almost five years of courtship, the royal couple tied the knot on October 16. The wedding was a five-day extravaganza and the reception was attended by who’s who of Bollywood and politics. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s wedding extravaganza, which extended over a week was all about glitz, glamor, opulence and old world charm. A striking amalgamation of Nawabi tradition and Bollywood style, it was an occasion that created quite a stir in the country.

Karisma Kapoor And Sanjay Kapoor: Very soon after her split from Abhishek Bachchan, Karisma got married to her best friend Sanjay Kapur. The event was a typical Punjabi ceremony and was in pure Kapoor style. Apart from the celebrity guests, the Kapoor clan was enough to make it a big, fat affair.

Riteish Deshmukh And Genelia: Kick-starting the Bollywood weddings this year, the charming Riteish and the stunning Genelia walked down the aisle on 3rd February. The couple met each other for the first time on the sets of “Tujhe Meri Kasam” and dated for almost eight years before getting married on Feb 3. The wedding was solemnized in Maharashtrian and Christian style. A grand reception had followed with most of the film fraternity gracing their presence.

Imran Khan And  Avantika Malik: They are the youngest couple on the list but their wedding was no lesser event. After a private but grand wedding, uncle Aamir Khan hosted a grander reception for the couple. The reception saw hordes of Bollywood celebrities in attendance.

Esha Deol And Bharat: Takhtani Esha Deol married her businessman beau Bharat Takhtani in a South Indian-style wedding on June 29, 2012. Lara Dutta And Mahesh Bhupathi: The union between a Bollywood beauty queen and a tennis pro was obviously something that most people would be eager to watch. But Lara and Mahesh guarded their private day from the paparazzi. As suggested by the photos that came out later, the wedding was a very beautiful and fairytale-ish ceremony.

Gul Panag And Rishi Attari: They had a traditional Punjabi wedding with a hint of Bollywood in it! The marriage ceremony took place in a Gurudwara in Panchkula, Harayana. The newlyweds rode in a motorcycle as is seen in Munnabhai MBBS.
